Baking soda AKA sodium bicarbonate is not just an ordinary ingredient that is used in cooking. It works as a mild abrasive to remove yellow stains from your teeth. In addition, it helps remove plaque and fights bacteria. Brush your teeth twice or thrice a week with ½ teaspoon of baking soda.
Gargle and Mouth Freshener
Gargle with baking soda, or use it as a mouthwash. Put one teaspoon in a glass of water, swish, spit and rinse. Odors are neutralized, and bacteria are gone. Gargling with baking soda is very effective if you have any sort of throat infection as it kills the germs and bacteria due to its high alkaline properties.

Give yourself a revitalizing facial and body scrub. Mix 3 tablespoon baking soda with ½ cup of water. Apply in a gentle circular motion to exfoliate the skin.
