Baking soda AKA sodium bicarbonate is not just an ordinary ingredient that is used in cooking. This wonderful and versatile product is found in every kitchen but few of us are aware of its health related benefits. Teeth Whitener

Baking soda is excellent for making your teeth shine. Brush Your Teeth Baking soda as it helps to regulate pH and neutralizing mouth acid. It works as a mild abrasive to remove yellow stains from your teeth. In addition, it helps remove plaque and fights bacteria. Brush your teeth twice or thrice a week with ½ teaspoon of baking soda.

Gargle and Mouth Freshener

Gargle with baking soda, or use it as a mouthwash. Put one teaspoon in a glass of water, swish, spit and rinse. Odors are neutralized, and bacteria are gone. Gargling with baking soda is very effective if you have any sort of throat infection as it kills the germs and bacteria due to its high alkaline properties.

Facial Scrub and Body Exfoliant

Give yourself a revitalizing facial and body scrub. Mix 3 tablespoon baking soda with ½ cup of water. Apply in a gentle circular motion to exfoliate the skin.
